Pricing questions
How much does SkyLog cost?+
Browsing the job board is free on every plan, and SkyLog takes 0% commission on the work you win. Pilots pay only to quote: $7 per quote on the free Hobby plan with no subscription at all, $20 a month on Pay as you go for 4 included credits and $5 extras, or $41 a month on Marketplace for unlimited quotes — cheaper than pay as you go from about 8 quotes a month. Every plan, free one included, also comes with the business software: clients, jobs, flight logs, the credential tracker, invoicing and a public pilot profile.
Is it free for clients to post a drone job?+
Yes, permanently. Posting a job, receiving quotes and talking to pilots costs a client nothing, and there is no client plan to upgrade to. SkyLog is paid for by pilots, not by the people hiring them.
Does SkyLog take a commission on the work?+
No. SkyLog takes no commission and adds no markup. The client pays the pilot directly, at whatever price the two of them agree, and SkyLog never sits in the middle of that payment.
Do I need a credit card to start?+
Not for the free Hobby plan — it needs no card at any point, and every new pilot gets one free quote credit to try quoting on a real job. A card is only needed when you subscribe to Pay as you go or Marketplace, which are billed when you sign up.
What happens if I cancel?+
You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, then drop to Hobby rather than losing the account. Your clients, jobs, flight logs, credentials and invoices all stay — the CRM does not lock behind the paywall. There are no contracts and no cancellation fee.
What is a quote credit?+
One credit sends one quote on one marketplace job. Revising a quote you have already sent is always free, and if the customer hasn't replied to or acted on any quote within 7 days of yours, the credit comes back. Marketplace has no credits to count — quoting is unlimited.
