1. What this is
A pilot on SkyLog can post a mission they can’t take themselves (too far, already booked, or not their kind of work) so that other pilots can quote on it. When another pilot finishes that mission, the pilot who posted it earns 2 quote credits. These terms set out when that reward is paid. They form part of our Terms of Service, and where the two differ, these terms apply to the reward.
2. Who can take part
- You need a SkyLog pilot account with a published pilot profile.
- You can have at most 3 passed-on missions open or in draft at a time.
- Your mission is marked as subcontracted work, so the pilots who quote on it can see who they would be working for.
- You cannot quote on a mission you posted.
3. What earns a reward
A mission earns a reward when all of the following are true:
- you posted it from your pilot account;
- it was open to all pilots on the board. A booking sent directly to one pilot does not count;
- you accepted another pilot’s quote; and
- the job is finished: the hired pilot released the files, or the job was marked done.
Each mission earns one reward at most.
4. The reward
The reward is 2 quote credits, added to your credit balance. They work exactly like any other quote credit, as described in section 4.8 of the Terms: they have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and do not expire. Because you did not pay for them, reward credits are not refundable.
5. When it is paid
A reward is paid 7 days after the job is marked done or its files are released. We check for rewards that are due once a day, so the credits usually arrive within a day of that 7-day hold ending. We notify you when they do.
6. Monthly limit
We pay at most 3 rewards per calendar month. Rewards are paid in the order the jobs were finished. A reward that would exceed the limit is not paid and does not carry over to the next month.
7. Rewards we check first
To keep the reward fair, our team reviews some rewards before paying them, usually within two working days. We may hold a reward for review when, for example, the two accounts appear to be connected, the hired pilot’s account is new or has no published profile, the same two pilots keep rewarding each other, the job was reported, or the job was marked done without any files being delivered. After review we either pay the reward or decline it. You can see where each reward stands on the mission, under Posted missions.
8. When no reward is paid
- The mission was a direct booking to one pilot.
- The mission was taken down for breaking the posting rules before the reward was paid.
- The monthly limit in section 6 had already been reached.
- The reward was declined after review.
9. Misuse
Posting missions that are not real, hiring an account you control, or arranging with another pilot to trade rewards is a breach of these terms and of the acceptable use rules in the Terms of Service. If we find misuse, we may decline pending rewards, remove reward credits already paid, and suspend or close the accounts involved.
10. Changes
We may change or end the reward at any time by updating this page. A change does not take away credits already paid to you.
